LESSON TITLE: "TEARS OF COMPASSION"

WELCOME

TODAY WE ARE BLESSED WITH A WONDERFUL GIFT FROM GOD, THE BIBLE. THIS BOOK IS GOD'S LIVING WORD. IN ITS PAGES WE ARE TOLD "FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND POWERFUL AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD." IT IS IN THIS BOOK OF BOOKS THAT WE FIND THE ANSWERS TO ALL OF MAN'S QUESTIONS AND NEEDS. THIS MORNING YOUR AREA CHURCHES OF CHRIST WELCOME YOU TO A PROGRAM COMMITTED TO THAT PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY. AS WE PRESENT THE LIVING WORD. NOW HERE IS YOUR HOST RAY SULLINS.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US TODAY FOR THE LIVING WORD PROGRAM. AS ALWAYS, IT IS OUR PRIVILEGE TO HAVE YOU WITH US, AS WE COMMIT THIS TIME TO THE THINGS OF GOD. IT IS FURTHER OUR PRAYER THAT WE MAY ALL PRAISE GOD THIS MORNING, AS WELL AS THAT WE MAY ALL BE ENCOURAGED IN THIS JOINT OFFERING TO HIM. WHAT BETTER WAY TO START THIS LORD'S DAY, THAN TO GIVE THIS SACRIFICE TO HIM. WILL YOU BOW WITH ME NOW IN PRAYER!

PRAYER: OUR GOD AND FATHER IN HEAVEN, WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR THIS DAY, THE MANY GREAT BLESSINGS OF LIFE, THE GREAT PRIVILEGE THAT WE HAVE TO BE CALLED YOUR CHILDREN. FATHER, AS WE KNOW THAT EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS FROM YOU, BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL, AND THAT ALL GOOD THINGS AND GOOD GIFTS COME FROM YOU AS OUR CREATOR. AND FATHER, WE THANK YOU FOR JESUS BECAUSE WE KNOW HE CAME TO THIS EARTH, HE LIVED, HE DIED, HE WAS RESURRECTED THAT WE MIGHT ALL HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO STAND BEFORE YOU AS JUSTIFIED THROUGH YOUR GRACE, LOVE, AND MERCY. FATHER, KNOWING THESE THINGS HELP US EACH TO DO OUR PART AND TO WORK OUT OUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING BY SHOWING YOU ENOUGH LOVE TO DO WHAT YOU ASK OF THE FAITHFUL. AND THESE THINGS, FATHER, WE PRAY IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

ONE OF THE GREAT TOPICS OF THE BIBLE IS THE HOPE THAT WE HAVE BECAUSE OF THE LOVE OF GOD. WHENEVER I TALK ABOUT HOPE, I AM REMINDED OF A VERSE IN ONE THESSAONIANS 5:8, WHERE PAUL SAID, "BUT LET US WHO ARE OF THE DAY BE SOBER, PUTTING ON THE BREASTPLATE OF FAITH AND LOVE, AND AS A HELMET THE HOPE OF SALVATION." ISN'T IT WONDERFUL TO KNOW OF THE HOPE OF REDEMPTION WE HAVE THORUGH THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. NOW LET'S SING A SONG THIS MORNING THAT REMINDS US OF THE GREAT REDEEMER HIMSELF, AS WE SING TOGETHER, "BLESSED REDEEMER."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHTS

IF I WERE TO ASK YOU WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING TO CONTROL IN LIFE, WHAT WOULD YOUR ANSWER BE? MAYBE YOU WOULD SAY IT IS HARD TO CONTROL MY KIDS, THAT'S A BIG PROBLEM IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY, ISN'T IT? OTHERS MIGHT SAY, "WELL IT'S HARD TO CONTROL MY WIFE!" WATCH OUT, YOU MIGHT GET IN TROUBLE WITH THAT ONE! THE FACT IS, THERE ARE MANY THINGS IN LIFE THAT ARE HARD TO CONTROL, BUT AGAIN, WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING TO CONTROL? WELL, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, IT IS OUR THOUGHTS! THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE. NO ONE SEES OUR THOUGHTS, NO ONE HEARS THEM, AND NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT'S ON OUR MIND AT ANY GIVEN TIME. I BELIEVE THAT IS WHY IT IS SO HARD TO CONTROL OUR THOUGHTS. WE CAN THINK ABOUT ANYTHING OR PICTURE ANYTHING WE WANT IN OUR MIND AND AGAIN, NO ONE KNOWS IT.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD BAD OR UGLY THOUGHTS AGAINST SOMEONE YOU DIDN'T LIKE? DID THEY KNOW WHAT YOU WERE THINKING? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD BAD THOUGHTS ABOUT THAT PERSON WHO PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF YOU, DID THEY KNOW WHAT YOU WERE THINKING? I'VE GOT BAD NEWS FOR YOU. EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW, GOD DID! JESUS UNDERSTOOD THAT GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING WHEN HE SAID, "YOU ARE THOSE WHO JUSTIFY YOURSELVES BEFORE MEN, BUT GOD KNOWS YOUR HEARTS," LUKE 16:15.

ISN'T THIS WHY PAUL SAID IN PHILIPPIANS 4:8, THAT WE NEED TO THINK ON GOOD THINGS. THERE HE SAID, "FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE NOBLE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT, IF THERE IS ANY VIRTUE AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING PRAISEWORTHY; MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS." SO, OUR THOUGHTS MUST BE GOOD, BECAUSE WE WANT TO BE PLEASING UNTO GOD.

ON THE OTHER HAND, WE MUST HAVE GOOD THOUGHTS BECAUSE THEY MAKE US WHO WE ARE. SOLOMON SAID, "FOR AS HE THINKS IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE," PROVERBS 23:7. IN OTHER WORDS, WE WILL EVENTUALLY BE WHAT WE THINK. IF WE HAVE BAD OR EVIL THOUGHTS, WE WILL EVENTUALLY PARTICIPATE AND DO THAT WHICH IS EVIL. HOWEVER, IF OUR THOUGHTS ARE GOOD AND RIGHTEOUS, THEN WE WILL ONLY BE PERCEIVED AS BEING OF GOD.

SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE? IS IT PLEASING TO GOD AS IT MUST BE. IS IT MAKING YOU A GOOD PERSON BEFORE THIS WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE? AS COMMANDED, LET'S ALL STRIVE TO THINK MORE ON THOSE THINGS ABOVE.

THIS MORNING WE WILL CONTINUE OUR SERIES ENTITLED, "MINDFUL OF YOUR TEARS." OUR SPECIFIC LESSON TODAY WILL TALK ABOUT, "TEARS OF COMPASSION." PLEASE STAY WITH US FOR THIS EXCITING DISCUSSION, AFTER OUR NEXT SONG TOGETHER, AND AT THAT TIME I WILL RETURN WITH THE STUDY OF THE DAY. NOW, WON'T YOU JOIN IN WITH THE CONGREGATION, AS WE SING OUR NEXT SONG TOGETHER. THE NAME OF THIS HYMN, "GOD IS LOVE."

LESSON

BY RAY SULLINS

WE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CONTINUING NOW WITH US THIS DAY AS WE CONTINUE IN OUR SERIES ON TEARS. WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING TOGETHER AT MANY DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTICS THAT ARE FOUND IN THE SCRIPTURES OBVIOUSLY FROM GOD IN RELATIONSHIP TO TEARS AND WHAT BRING ABOUT TEARS, WHAT CAUSE TEARS, AND WHAT REALLY AT TIMES MAKE INDIVIDUALS FEEL AS IF THEY NEED TO TURN TO GOD OR THAT THEY NEED THE HELP OF GOD OR FIND REALLY THAT SOLACE OR PEACE OF THAT HELP IN TIME OF NEED FROM THEIR CREATOR. AND SUCH IS THE CASE EVEN TODAY IN OUR DISCUSSION AS WE LOOK AT THE TEARS OF COMPASSION. AS WE THINK ABOUT THAT, THERE'S A STORY IN THE OLD TESTAMENT REALLY THAT COMES TO MIND BECAUSE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT, IN THE BOOK OF HEBREWS, WE FIND THERE IN CHAPTER 12 THAT ESAU IS BEING DISCUSSED. AND THERE IN CHAPTER 12 OF HEBREWS IN VERSE 17 WE FIND THAT AS IT TALKS ABOUT ESAU IT MENTIONS THAT ESAU WAS A PROFANE PERSON. AND THE REASON THAT HE WAS PROFANE, VERSE 16 SAYS, IS BECAUSE HE SOLD HIS OWN BIRTHRIGHT FOR A MORSEL OF FOOD. WE ACTUALLY THINK BACK INTO THE OLD TESTAMENT THERE AND TO THE BOOK OF GENESIS CHAPTER 25 WHERE WE READ THAT STORY WHERE ONE DAY ESAU WAS SO HUNGRY, EVIDENTLY SO HUNGRY, THAT HE SAW HIS BROTHER MAKING SOME BEANS AND HE ASKED HIS BROTHER TO GIVE HIM SOME AND HIS BROTHER SAYS, WELL, I'LL GIVE YOU SOME IF YOU GIVE ME YOUR BIRTHRIGHT AND OF ALL THINGS ESAU AGREED. YOU SEE, GOD CONDEMNS THAT HERE BUT NOW I WANT YOU TO NOTICE WHEN THINGS FINALLY TRANSPIRE WHAT TAKES PLACE. VERSE 17 SAYS, "FOR YOU KNOW THAT AFTERWARD, WHEN HE WANTED TO INHERIT THE BLESSING, HE WAS REJECTED, FOR HE FOUND NO PLACE FOR REPENTANCE, THOUGH HE SOUGHT IT DILIGENTLY WITH TEARS." YOU SEE, HE WAS BEGGING WITH TEARS. HE WAS BEGGING HIS FATHER EVEN THOUGH HE KNEW WHAT HE HAD DONE. HE KNEW WHAT HAD BEEN CAUSED BY HIS OWN ACTIONS. HE BEGGED HIS FATHER, ME ALSO FATHER GIVE ME A BLESSING. YOU MIGHT RECALL THAT STORY WITH ME ALL THE WAY BACK AGAIN IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS BUT THERE IN 27 AFTER ISAAC NOW HAS COME TO THE SON AND THE SON HAS BROUGHT THAT GAME IN AFTER, NOW, JACOB HAS ALREADY DECEIVED HIM AND GONE OUT CLAIMING HE WAS ESAU. BUT NOW THAT THE REAL ESAU SHOWS UP AND IT SAYS ISAAC IS EVEN TREMBLING THERE IN CHAPTER 27 AND IN VERSE 32. BUT WHEN ESAU HEARD THE WORD THAT SOMEONE HAS ALREADY COME IN YOUR NAME AND I'VE ALREADY BLESSED THEM AND I'VE ALREADY GIVEN THEM THESE THINGS, NOTICE WHAT ESAU DID. THERE IT SAYS, "HE CRIED WITH AN EXCEEDINGLY GREAT AND BITTER CRY, AND SAID TO HIS FATHER, 'BLESS ME - ME ALSO, O MY FATHER!'" YOU SEE THOSE TEARS, THAT CRY OF DESIRE THAT HIS FATHER WOULD HAVE COMPASSION ON HIM. AND WHAT'S INTERESTING IS THAT AS WE GO ON ALTHOUGH HE WAS NOT ABLE TO GIVE HIM THE FULL BLESSING AS WE READ ON THERE IN ABOUT VERSE 39, ISAAC DOES STILL BLESS HIM AND PRAY FOR HIM NOT ABLE TO GIVE HIM THAT FULL BLESSING OR THAT BIRTHRIGHT THAT HE'D ALREADY SOLD OUT TO HIS BROTHER. BUT YET HE STILL DOES PRAY FOR HIM AND ASKS GOD TO BLESS HIM IN CERTAIN WAYS. SO YOU CAN SEE THAT HIS FATHER DID HAVE THAT COMPASSION AND WE REALLY SEE THIS CONCEPT OF COMPASSION, NOT ONLY FROM THE SERVANTS OF GOD, BUT REALLY FROM GOD THROUGHOUT ALL OF THE AGES.

BACK IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS AND THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD OF GOD'S PEOPLE IN ISRAEL GOD CONTINUALLY SHOWED COMPASSION. HOW? HE CONTINUED TO SHOW COMPASSION BY SENDING PROPHET AFTER PROPHET TO TEACH THEM, TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING RIGHT OR WRONG, AND SOMETIMES THEY WERE LED TO TEARS WHEN THEY WOULD FIND OUT AND WOULD PLEAD WITH GOD FOR THAT COMPASSION, THE SAME WAY THAT IT IS SAID THERE HEBREWS THAT ESAU CRIED BITTERLY. AND HE WEPT AND DESIRED THAT COMPASSION. EVEN THOUGH HE HAD DONE WRONG HE BEGAN TO SHOW THAT NEED OF REMORSE, THAT DESIRE TO SOMEHOW HAVE SOMETHING DESPITE THE FACT OF THE MISTAKES THAT HE HAD MADE. NOW, WE DON'T REALLY KNOW THAT THAT HE REALLY CORRECTED A LOT OF THOSE THINGS OR REPENTED IN THE TRUE SENSE OF THEN DOING WHAT GOD SAID OR SERVING GOD BUT WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT HE DID CRY OUT AND THAT HIS CRIES WERE HEARD. AND I AGAIN WOULD SUGGEST TO YOU THAT THAT'S THE SAME GOD THAT WE SERVE. THE SAME GOD THAT WE SERVE, THE SAME FOLLOWERS OF GOD WHO SERVED HIM OF OLD, WHO THEREFORE HAD COMPASSION, THE COMPASSION THAT ABRAHAM HAD ON OTHERS, THE COMPASSION THAT MOSES HAD ON OTHERS, THE COMPASSION THAT DAVID HAD ON OTHERS. EVEN THOSE WHO ARE THE OFFSPRING OF HIS ENEMIES THE COMPASSION OF GOD IS ALWAYS SEEN IN THE COMPASSION OF HIS SERVANTS. AGAIN, AN OPPORTUNITY TO FOLLOW GOD AND TO IMITATE GOD TO PROVE THAT WE ARE COMPASSIONATE PEOPLE IN THE SAME WAY THAT OUR GOD IS COMPASSIONATE ALSO.

WE NOW CAN GO TO THE NEW TESTAMENT AND WHAT DO WE SEE IN JESUS, WHO IS OUR GOD AND WHO LIVED ON THIS EARTH? WE SEE A COMPASSION THAT HE HAD FROM THE MOMENT HE ARRIVED ON THE EARTH. AND INTEREST HE HAD AND HELPFULNESS AND WHEN HE SAW NEED WHAT WAS HE WILLING TO DO? HE WAS WILLING TO HELP WITH THAT NEED EVEN FROM THE FIRST RECORDED MIRACLE THERE IN THE BOOK OF JOHN OF THE WATER THAT WAS TURNED INTO WINE AT THE WEDDING FEAST. WE SEE THE COMPASSION, THE CONCERN OF CHRIST. AND THEN WE MOVE ON AS HE BEGINS TO INTERACT WITH THE MULTITUDES AND EVEN THERE IN THE BOOK OF MATTHEW CHAPTER 14. IF YOU'LL NOTICE THERE BEGINNING AROUND VERSE 13 WE SEE JESUS INTERACTING WITH THE PEOPLE AND THERE IN SPECIFICALLY VERSE 14 IT SAYS, "AND WHEN JESUS WENT OUT AND HE SAW A GREAT MULTITUDE; AND HE WAS MOVED WITH COMPASSION FOR THEM." AND WHAT DID HE DO? HE HEALED THE SICK. HIS COMPASSION ALLOWED HIM TO SEE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS, TO LOOK BEYOND HIMSELF AND TO SEE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS AND EVEN TO DESIRE THAT THEY WOULD BE MADE WHOLE AND HE WOULD TAKE THE TIME PROBABLY SOMETIMES HOURS UPON HOURS HEALING THE SICK AND RESTORING THEIR HEALTH. AND THE SAME EVENT WE SEE THAT HE TOOK COMPASSION ON THE PEOPLE AS HE FED THE 5000. THAT IS IN CHAPTER 14 AGAIN VERSE 13 BEGINNING. IF YOU JUST GO OVER ONE MORE CHAPTER, IT'S INTERESTING BECAUSE ANOTHER SIMILAR EVENT IS ALSO MENTIONED. BUT WITHIN THAT EVENT THIS WORD IS ACTUALLY USED ONCE AGAIN IN MATTHEW 15. AND READ WITH ME THERE IN VERSE 32. AFTER AGAIN IT CONFIRMED THAT HE WAS STILL DOING MIRACLES, STILL HEALING THE SICK, AND DOING GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS AND PEOPLE WERE AMAZED AT WHAT WAS HAPPENING. VERSE 32 SAYS, "NOW JESUS CALLED HIS DISCIPLES TO HIMSELF AND SAID, 'I HAVE COMPASSION ON THE MULTITUDE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOW CONTINUED WITH ME THREE DAYS AND HAVE NOTHING TO EAT. AND I DO NOT WANT TO SEND THEM AWAY HUNGRY, LEST THEY FAINT ON THE WAY..'" YOU SEE JESUS WAS NOT ONLY INTERESTED IN THE PHYSICAL AILMENTS, THE PHYSICAL PROBLEMS, BUT EVEN THE DAILY NECESSITIES.

IT MAKES ME CERTAINLY THINK OF THE GREAT LESSON OF THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT THERE IN MATTHEW CHAPTER 5 BEGINNING BUT THERE AS WE READ WHAT IS GOD INTERESTED IN? NOT JUST THE FOOD, CLOTHING, AND SHELTER FOR THE FAITHFUL BUT IT SAYS AS EVEN THE LILIES OF THE FIELD AND THE BIRDS OF THE AIR. WE HAVE A COMPASSIONATE AND A LOVING GOD. AGAIN IN MATTHEW OVER IN CHAPTER 20 IT'S INTERESTING THAT AS A BLIND MAN CRIES OUT TO HIM AND IN THIS EVENT IT IS QUITE NEAT BECAUSE WE SEE THAT THE DISCIPLES AND OTHERS ARE REALLY FRUSTRATED AT THIS BLIND MAN BECAUSE OF THE NOISE THAT HE IS MAKING. AND PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO TELL HIM TO BE QUIET AND THEY ARE WARNING HIM THAT HE SHOULD BE QUIET THERE IN VERSE 31. BUT WHAT DOES HE DO? HE CRIES OUT ALL THE MORE. AND WHAT DOES HE BEG FOR? MERCY! HAVE MERCY ON US O' LORD SON OF DAVID. HE DECLARES HIM AS BEING THE MESSIAH, THAT KINGS OF KINGS AND HE KNOWS HE HAS THAT POWER TO HELP HIM. AND WHAT IS IT THEN THAT WE READ THERE CONTINUING IN THAT TEXT? IT SAYS VERSE 32 CONTINUING, "SO JESUS STOOD STILL AND CALLED THEM, AND SAID, 'WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?' AND THEY SAID TO HIM, 'LORD, THAT OUR EYES MAY BE OPENED.'" AND JESUS HAD COMPASSION AND TOUCHED THEIR EYES, AND IMMEDIATELY THEIR EYES RECEIVED SIGHT, AND THEY FOLLOWED HIM." YOU SEE AGAIN THE COMPASSION OF JESUS! THE LOVE OF JESUS! JESUS BEING MOVED BY THE GREAT TRIALS AND THE DIFFICULTIES OF HIS FELLOW MAN, HIS OWN CREATION, TO THE POINT THAT HE WAS WILLING TO SHOW THEM LOVE AND TO HELP THEM. AND PERHAPS THERE'S NO GREATER EXAMPLE OF THAT, THAT TRUE COMPASSION, THAN IN JOHN CHAPTER 11 WHERE THERE, A VERY DEAR FRIEND OF JESUS'S, HIS NAME WAS LAZARUS. AND AS HE THERE IS BEING ONE WHO INTERACTS WITH MARY AND MARTHA. NOW THAT LAZARUS IS DEAD WHAT DOES IT SAY THAT JESUS DOES THERE IN VERSE 35? HE WEEPS. NOT BECAUSE HE'S UNAWARE OF WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN BECAUSE JESUS KNOWS ALL THINGS. AND JESUS ALREADY KNOWS AND TO ME PERHAPS HAS EVEN WAITED UNTIL LAZARUS HAS DIED THAT HE MIGHT PROVE THE POWER OF GOD THROUGH HIM BY RAISING HIM FROM THE DEAD. BUT WHEN HE SEES THESE LADIES CRYING WHO ARE DEAR TO HIM AND ALL THE PEOPLE CRYING BITTERLY AND WEEPING OVER THE LOSS, WHAT DOES HE DO? THAT SHORTEST OF ALL VERSES IN THE BIBLE, "JESUS WEPT." COMPASSION. AND THEN WE KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY. HE CALLS HIM BACK FROM THE GRAVE. HE COMES FORTH FROM THE GRAVE, AND THEREFORE HE LIVES ONCE AGAIN. COMPASSION, EVEN IN BRINGING BACK THOSE FROM THE DEAD.

WELL, CERTAINLY THEN THAT APPLICATION IS OURS BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY VERSES THROUGHOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT TALK ABOUT THE NEED THAT WE HAVE TO BE A COMPASSIONATE PEOPLE. GO TO GALATIANS CHAPTER 6 AND VERSE TWO, TO BEAR THE BURDENS OF ONE ANOTHER. TO SEE THE TRIALS AND THE PROBLEMS THAT WE EACH FACE AND TO HELP EACH OTHER, TO SHOW THAT LOVE, EVEN WE WHO ARE SPIRITUAL BY HELPING THE WEAK. WHAT ABOUT THE COMPASSIONS OF COLOSSIANS CHAPTER 3 AND VERSE 12 WHERE WE LEARN THERE THAT WE ARE TO PUT ON THE WHAT? "TENDER MERCIES." AND WHAT IS MERCY? IT IS THE ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT SOMEONE MIGHT NOT DESERVE IT. THEY MIGHT EVEN DESERVE PUNISHMENT BUT THAT ONE IS MERCIFUL NOT TO PUNISH THEM THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE WHAT? OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE CORRECTION AND TO HEAD DOWN THE RIGHT PATH ONCE AGAIN. YOU SEE THERE AGAIN WE ARE TO BE THE ELECTIVE OF GOD PUTTING ON THE TENDER MERCY, THE HOLY, THE BELOVED, THOSE WITH HUMILITY, AND KINDNESS. SO MANY THINGS MENTIONED THERE. ALL A TESTAMENT TO THE COMPASSION THAT WE MUST HAVE AS THE ELECTIVE OF GOD, AS CHILDREN OF GOD TO DEMONSTRATE THAT WE HAD THE SAME SPIRIT THAT OUR CREATOR HAS. THAT AS HE IS COMPASSIONATE THAT WE ALSO ARE COMPASSIONATE. AND THEREFORE AS WE SHOW THAT COMPASSION TO THE WORLD THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW CHRIST THROUGH US AND UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS THE SAME COMPASSION THAT CHRIST HAS FOR THEIR SIN AND THE FACT THAT HE'S WILLING TO HEAR THEIR MOUTH AS THEY REPENT OF THEIR SIN, AS THEY CONFESS HIS NAME, AS THEY ARE BAPTIZED TO THEN ADD THEM TO THE CHURCH BECAUSE OF THEIR DEMONSTRATION OF FAITH.

YOU KNOW COMPASSION SOMETIMES IS WHAT WE ALL ARE SEEKING FOR. WHY NOT TURN TO CHRIST TODAY? WHY NOT FIND THAT COMPASSION THAT NOT ONLY WILL FIND THOSE BLESSINGS AND NEEDS THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THIS LIFE BUT ALSO THOSE GREAT REWARDS AND PROMISES THAT ARE AVAILABLE IN THE LIFE TO COME!
